FREEPODS is committed to selling only vaping products that meet the requirements of the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 (“TRPR”) — the UK’s implementation of the EU Tobacco Products Directive (“TPD”) — and that are registered with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (“MHRA”) before they are offered for sale.
Our Product Range
FREEPODS sells established, branded vaping products manufactured by third-party producers. We do not manufacture, repackage or private-label any vaping products ourselves. As a retailer, our responsibility under TRPR is to ensure that every product we list and sell has already been notified to, and published by, the MHRA, and that it continues to meet the standards set out below for as long as we offer it for sale.
MHRA Registration
- Before we list any vaping product or e-liquid for sale, we check that it has been notified to the MHRA in accordance with Part 6 of TRPR.
- You can check the current MHRA register of notified vaping products yourself at gov.uk: “E-cigarettes: regulations for consumer products.”
- If a product is removed from the MHRA register, withdrawn by its producer, or otherwise found not to comply with TRPR, we will remove it from sale.
Product Standards We Require
Every vaping product and e-liquid we sell is required to meet the following standards under TRPR:
- Tank or pod capacity: no more than 2ml.
- E-liquid refill containers (bottles): no more than 10ml.
- Nicotine strength: no more than 20mg/ml.
- Child-resistant and tamper-evident packaging.
- A health warning on the packaging stating: “This product contains nicotine which is a highly addictive substance.”
- An information leaflet covering safe use, storage and ingredients.
- No banned ingredients, including caffeine, taurine, colourings or vitamins.
- No packaging or marketing suggesting health benefits, energy benefits, or that a product is less harmful than other vaping products.
Single-Use Disposable Vapes
In line with the UK-wide ban on single-use (disposable) vapes that came into effect on 1 June 2025, FREEPODS does not sell single-use disposable vaping products. All devices we sell are rechargeable, refillable or pod-based systems intended for repeated use.
Age Restrictions
All products sold by FREEPODS are restricted to customers aged 18 and over. See our Terms and Conditions and our Delivery Information policy for details of the age verification checks we carry out before, and at the point of, delivery.
Advertising and Promotion
We only promote our products in ways permitted under TRPR and other applicable vaping advertising law. This Website provides factual product information; we do not run paid online advertising, influencer marketing, or other promotional activity of a kind restricted under these laws.
